The story seems familiar. The average salaryman loses money and resorts to borrowing from loan sharks; then the crazy interest and threats to his life lead him to crime, in this case kidnapping. Pushed to the edge, Dong Cheol (Kim Su Ro, Vampire Cop Ricky) reluctantly teams up with the equally desperate and debt-ridden Min Ho (Lee Seon Gyun, The Customer is Always Right). The bumbling pair's first attempt fails when the victim's parents don't pick up the phone. After 108 unanswered calls, they have little choice but to give up. For their second try, they ambitiously decide to kidnap Tae Hee (Ko Eun Ah of Ssunday Seoul), the daughter of a rich family. Just when it seems they have pulled off the kidnapping, Dong Cheol receives a phone call - from his daughter's kidnapper.
If the two million tickets sold by his debut as leading actor in Vampire Cop Ricky weren't enough, Kim Su Ro's performance in A Cruel Attendance, a.k.a. Educating Kidnappers, once again proves how much he has grown both in acting skills and popularity. He has certainly come a long way since his (literally) five seconds of fame for his first role in Two Cops. 착실하고 자상한 가장이자 평범한 샐러리맨 동철(김수로 분)은 한순간 주식 투자 실패와 거액의 사채 이자로 일생 최대의 위기에 봉착하다! 사채 이자 갚는 것도 한계에 다다른 동철은 한날 한시에, 사채 이자 갚는 동기(?)로 묘하게 얽힌 만호(이선균 분)와 얼떨결에 유괴를 저지른다. 잠깐 아이를 빌린다는 절박한 심정으로 시작한 그들의 어설픈 유괴 행각. 하지만 아이 부모가 108번까지 전화를 받지 않아 어이없게도 몸값 요구 한번 제대로 못해본 채 첫번째 유괴에 실패한다.

이왕 나선 김에, 이번엔 나름 치밀한 작전을 세워 부잣집 여고생 태희(고은아 분)를 납치, 드디어 두 번째 유괴는 감격적인 성공을 거둔다. 하지만 태희는 학교 정학은 기본, 아빠(오광록)에게 돈을 타내기 위해 자작 유괴극까지 벌인 희대의 문제아! 동철과 만호는 이 건방지고 불량스러운 여고생 인질을 상대하는 것조차 매우 난감한 시츄에이션이다. 이때 동철에게 걸려온 한 통의 전화. "네 딸을 유괴했다! 유괴범의 딸을 유괴한거지?!"
